Castlevania was one of the best game ever created. Released for the NES in 1987 and followed by Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest in 1988. The player is tasked with controlling Simon Belmont and destroying Dracula, however many other iconic evil creatures must be defeated before the final confrontation. If you want to play these games, or to try and other similar games too, here is a list of some mods and excellent PC remakes.
Castlevania: Chorus of Mysteries
This is a hack of the original Castlevania for NES. It contains new levels, enemies, bosses, GFX, sub-weapon, music and more.
Castlevania: Remade in Unreal
This is a remake of Castlevania in unreal. It is not finished yet, but you can download it as beta and test it. Personally, i don't like this kind of graphics for the old games.
Vampire
Castlevania clone for Windows 95 called "Vampire". Download the latest version here.
Super Castlevania IV mods
I added and some mods for Castlevania IV, because is a great game with great graphics. If you want to play it again, try these mods:
Super Castlevania IV Uncensored: A hack focuses on restoring most of the censored content from the USA release of Super Castlevania IV.
Super Castlevania Hard mod: This is a complete level hack of the original game. Each level features new challenges and puzzles that will take time and out of the box thinking to overcome.
Castle Quest
This is another Castlevania clone, with most of the graphics come from CV2.
Dracula's Shadow
Dracula's Shadow is an excellent PC remake of Konami's classic NES game Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest. Download it from here.
