Flatmii, the no solder mod for the Wii

Something new on the Wii scene. Flatmii, a no-solder modchip for the Wii, was released recently.

Basically it's not truly a modchip, but a Wii DVD Drive Emulator. And because it's an emulator, it works with all the Wii versions. It can work on its own, running iso from the USB port of the computer and the Wii DVD Drive for those who have original games.

Running ISO games is something positive. Yet it DOES NOT run copies in DVD format. If you already have such a mod on your Wii, Flatmii will still work.
